After completing a BA in Interior Design, Blackline founder Richard Meade graduated with an Architectural Master’s degree, cum laude, in 2016. While studying, he worked with Johannesburg-based Architects, gaining extensive experience in design, project coordination and the nitty-gritty of running a successful practice. While working part-time with the small practice, Richard also taught at the Graduate School of Architecture's innovative Unit 17 'Methods and Materials design studio'. These experiences have given him a wide view of the architectural landscape, on both the micro and macro level, making him well-prepared to start his practice.
